In our fourth Hoop Dance “Flow Class” session we learned a sequence of moves and ended with a transition into the same sequence using the opposite side of the body allowing us to become comfortable with the moves in both directions.
Right Side Warrior (Pass to left hand “thumb-to-thumb” at hip level)
Left Side Reverse Warrior (Pass to right hand “pinky-to-pinky” at eye level)
Right Side Warrior
Vertical Hooping

Vertical Hooping
You should end this sequence hooping vertically in front of your body clockwise. To make the transition into this sequence on the other side of your body, you want to switch the hoop so it is in your left hand going clockwise vertically in front of you. Once the hoop is in on your left hand turn your body 180˚ to the right and begin doing a Left Side Warrior. Then follow the sequence in the opposite direction.

Vertical Hooping
Pass the hoop so your vertical hooping in your right hand counter-clockwise vertically in front of your body. Turn your body 180˚ to the left and begin your Right Side Warrior. Then keep repeating these two sequences over and over until you’re a pro! We hope these sometimes tricky transitions will help build your skill going from a clockwise direction to a counter-clockwise direction with ease and grace.
