If I could think of the best guerrilla marketing campaign, it would most definitely involve hula hoop dancers. People flock to watch mezmerizing hoop dance performers. And not only do they hang out to watch, they frequently record video or take pictures while they stand around and gawk. The other major benefit is how mobile we are. Hoops go anywhere and usually surprise whoever they pop up next to. Really the best part (for you creatives) is that idea is completely fresh, untapped and has never been done before. (At least that I am aware of.) With of course the exception of us marketing ourselves.
The Twistin Vixens are great at grabbing people’s attention. We are also available for hire. Just contact Colleen. You could be the first, and this awesome new marketing idea just might win you some advertising awards which probably means you’ll get a raise. Like I said, contact me to see what kind of grand spectacle we can dream up together.
In April we showed up unannounced at a local holiday event. We wheeled in our own music source, blasted some unexpected tunes and started a hoop dance performance right in front of everybody. The purpose behind our little guerrilla marketing scheme was to hand out flyers for our weekly classes, while spreading awareness of hoop dance and the Twistin Vixens around the area.
If you have no idea what the hell hoop dance is, I’m sorry about your luck, but life as you know it is about to change because you can see it in action here.
