In the past two weeks Nikki and I have had the pleasure of throwing it back doo-wop style for two 1950’s hula hoop performances. Barnes and Noble invited us to perform for their Throwback Thursday series and we happily obliged. We donned our 50’s best for the event, which was complete with a hula hoop competition and prizes. My nieces made a surprise appearance and showed off their hula hoop skills, of course.
We also took a road trip to Sleepy Eye, MN earlier this week to perform for some wonderful Senior Living Campus residents and their families. It was a gorgeous evening outside (in the shade) and the audience was very welcoming. After our performance, we invited everyone up to try out one of our hula hoops. Many of the kids jumped at the opportunity and showed us their newest hoop moves.
