Let’s Party

I’ll be celebrating three years inside the hoop this weekend and wanted to write a quick post to reflect. This past year has been quite a whirlwind, but the Twistin Vixens, my amazing hoop sisters, have remained a constant. It never fails, when we get together we can usually unwind, uncork a bottle of wine and hoop to our hearts content… or choreograph routines where we have to listen to the same song over and over and over again. Haha!

We’ve had many good times this year and were fortunate enough to be kept busy with some really great gigs. I’m really thankful for these experiences and also for the chance to take some remarkable workshops from a couple of my hoop heroes, Tiana Zoumer and Rachael Lust, courtesy of the awesome Hoop Twin Cities group. It’s such a great community and one I feel very lucky to be a part of.

All in all, my hoop has taught me dedication. Love. How to deal with frustration. Patience. It’s opened a new world to me that I couldn’t have even imagine three years ago and now one I wouldn’t trade for anything. I love this community and the inspiring, creative and amazing people that are included.
