We entered our hoop dance act into the Benton County Fair Talent Show to showcase our oddball talent in front of more local crowds. Friday was the first performance, and as runners up we moved on to the final contest on Saturday. But due to a late confirmation from the fair officials Kayla had made prior plans to be out of town that day. I went ahead and did a solo free-style performance to a completely different song. In the end we took 4th place and won $25, but according to more than one audience member we should have done better. Maybe next time we’ll follow the rules better.
